Taken from my large Moleskin drawing pad this painting depicts the head of the Kentmere valley, looking toward High Street from somewhere near Kentmere Resevoir.

Meant as a sketch of an idea for a screenprint, I’ve never been taken this image any further. I really like the montbretia leaves in the foreground, they contrast well with the lesser definition of the fells in the background.
