This is the second of only two etchings I have ever (at the time of writing) undertaken.  This particular image is of the Yorkshire Three Peaks - Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside.

This famous trio of hills makes up the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge, a long distance walk that encompasses all three peaks in a 24 mile, 12 hour slog.  It's not something I'm keen to undertake any time soon, there always seems to be a queue of people following each other along the route.

The print was generated during my time learning etching and aquatint under the tutelage of illustrator and printmaker Mariann Johansen-Ellis.  I'm not sure why, but I prefer the screen print technique of the majority of my work to etching.  Perhaps it's because everything needs to be created in reverse on an etching plate before you print onto the paper.  Something that my simple brain cannot seems to comprehend.
